Standard Funds
A Standard Fund is a normal Morpho V2 vault. One share class, one return stream, the same yield for every depositor.
A Standard Fund is a Morpho V2 vault without LayerCover's tranching wrapper. The curator nominates an underlying asset, configures adapters + caps, and deposits are represented as a single fungible share token. Every depositor in that vault shares the same return stream and the same loss exposure.
The vault operates identically to a standard Morpho V2 vault. LayerCover provides the infrastructure around it, including a curator console for managing cross-protocol allocation strategies, and a marketplace where depositors can discover and access curated funds.
- Simpler ops — one share token, one set of holders, no tranche accounting. Fewer moving parts to monitor.
- Faster bootstrapping — Standard Funds don't need to bootstrap a junior tranche to come online.
The curator dashboard surface is shared:
- Roles — Owner / Curator / Allocator / Sentinel are identical concepts and timelocked the same way.
- Adapters — same approve / register flow, same registry of approved underlying integrations (Morpho Blue, Euler V2, RWA adapters, …).
- Caps — adapter, collateral, and market caps work identically. Increase is curator-timelocked; decrease is sentinel-immediate.
- Allocation —
allocate / deallocate move idle liquidity into adapter slots.
- Timelocks — per-selector timelocks gate the same curator surface.
- Emergency unwinds — Close Deposits, Hard Market Removal, Safe Market Removal, Sentinel Lockdown, Allocator Compromised are all available.
- Tranched Funds — the tranched extension on top of the same underlying strategy.
- Terminology — vocabulary used across Standard + Tranched funds.
- Security — what LayerCover's curator dashboard does and doesn't gate against.
- FAQ — common questions about curating on LayerCover.
